Adelaide and Perth, we are positioned to deliver services to clients
Australia-wide.
Service &
Repair
We understand the importance and value
of maintaining high performance equipment, and have service &
repair centres operating at each of our facilities. All service
needs are completely covered, from 24 hour on-site service and
maintenance, managed by our experienced team of field service
technicians, to extensive in-house repairs. We can also help
customers reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs with a
tailored preventative maintenance program.
We are specialists in coil processing
equipment repairs and maintenance, with purpose designed
disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly and testing
facilities.
We also offer the service of
reconditioning and regrinding polyurethane coated conveyor and
machine rollers both parallel and crowned in a variety of
hardnesses.
Special Purpose Machine
Design
Every customer’s needs are unique, and
ACE’s experienced and highly qualified engineering team combines the
technical and logistical expertise required to provide customised,
cost effective solutions.
We deliver a range of engineering
services, as well as specialised assistance in areas including
process improvement, reference and resource compilation, quality
process maintenance and product research and
development.
Turn key solutions can be specified,
refined through customer review and consultation and then designed
to provide the optimum solution for any situation and
requirement.
Manufacturing
We are pleased to be able to offer our
customers the benefits of our extensive manufacturing facilities,
where we design and manufacture standard and customised products.
With CAD facilities our engineers can quickly develop &
visualise solutions to our customers’ specific
requirements.
We also offer the service of reverse
engineering expensive imported machine parts, so they can be
manufactured locally, by ACE of course, and hence be supplied with
greatly reduced delivery lead times and at a much more economical
price. This has the benefits of assisting our customers in
minimising their overall maintenance repair costs, while also
reducing the actual cost of spare parts required to be kept in
stock.
Everything we manufacture is of high
quality and made to the appropriate Australian
Standards.
Installation &
Commissioning
We are also able to offer our customers
the use of our extensive experience in the installation of Coil
Processing Slitting and Blanking Lines along with a diverse range of
other machinery.
The high level of accuracy required for
the installation of Coil Processing machinery is well known and
stringent positional tolerances are required to be maintained to
ensure the lines will operate correctly. We have many years
experience in the successful installation and commissioning of this
type of machinery.
We actually prefer to offer “turn key”
solutions to our customer’s requirements so we can assure the
customers specifications are always met and preferably
exceeded.

Factory
We understand the importance and value
of maintaining high performance equipment, and have service &
repair centres operating in both Adelaide and Perth. The Adelaide
factory is situated in the northern suburbs, with excellent access
from heavy traffic routes. The factory features excellent access
from the road, with high clearance entry and full coverage from a
10-tonne overhead crane.
Machines
 Adelaide City
Engineering has a range of heavy equipment to allow us to meet all
of our clients' engineering needs.
We are constantly
updating our inventory of machinery, and our most recent acquisition
(commissioned in the Adelaide factory in January 2007) is our Mitseiki HBM-4 CNC Horizontal
Borer. This borer is the first of its type introduced into
Australia, having seven
fully programmable axes and a table capacity of 5 tonnes.
This borer enables us
to tackle jobs that have proved all but impossible with lesser
equipment. We believe that the ability of this machine to perform
precision, multi-axis machining tasks on large jobs provides us with
a unique capability to undertake difficult maintenance
jobs.
Our equipment
includes:
Lathes
We have two large-capacity lathes (Yunnan
Model CY PML 660x3000G and Ryazan Model 16K40-5), allowing us
to tackle jobs of up to 5.0 m between centres, and swings of
up to 860 mm.
Horizontal
borers
We
have two horizontal borers (Mitseiki - HBM-4 CNC Horizontal
Boring Machine and a Supermill), with table size up to 1200 x
1500 mm for jobs up to 5 Tonne
Milling
Machine
Our milling has capacity of 1200mm, 600mm
and 800mm in the (x,y,z) axes.
Drills
We have two heavy-duty drill presses
(Hafco Metal Master Model GHD-25A 12 Speed 4MT and
Porsche ¾ HP), giving us drill capacity up to 63mm
diameter with up to 1180mm from spindle to
base.
Surface
grinder
A
Norton Model NAS 2120 surface grinder has a 600mm x 200mm
magnetic table with 370mm coverage on the x
axis.
Welders
Our welding plant includes MIG (Lincoln
Electric Redi-Mig 325 Remote and CIGweld Transmig 275) and
Oxy-Acetylene equipment.
Bandsaw
Our Microcut Model 076 2 HP horizontal
bandsaw has capacity up to 200mm.
Forklift
We have two forklifts, with capactiy up to
3 tonnes.
Overhead
crane
An
S & S 10 Tonne overhead crane covers all areas of our
workshop.
